Over the past 10 years I have built my career as a development professional, event producer, and filmmaker by creating strategic partnerships with corporate sponsors, foundations, artists, and individual donors with special attention to relationship building, brand amplification, grant writing, client services, and on-site activations.

I have a demonstrated history of successful fundraising by securing new, and retaining current, partners through the presentation of proposals and detailed relationship management at Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF).

In 2013, I started as the entry-level coordinator responsible for tracking deliverable items and executing the specifics of sponsorship agreements within the development department. After two years I was promoted to Development Manager responsible for achieving fundraising goals by creating and upholding partnerships with sponsors, foundations, and donors.

I was recruited by the for-profit sector and worked in the telecommunication industry where I developed business prospects and oversaw the company’s Public/Government Affairs and charitable branch before being recruited back as the Director of Development at SBIFF. I am currently responsible for expanding the relationships with more than seventy corporate sponsors and thousands of donors. I am proud to say that my first year as Director was the first year in the organization’s history that the development department surpassed the $1MM mark. We have since surpassed the $2MM mark.

My career has allowed me to collaborate with international philanthropists and revered brands including Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, UGG, Lexus/Toyota, Patagonia, Netflix, Variety, Amazon Studios, US Bank, and many others. I supported in the launch and completion of The Riviera Project, a $5MM campaign to renovate the historic Rivera Theatre into a year-round programming center and Santa Barbara’s premier arthouse venue. Through my extensive experience in hosting potential and existing clients I have refined my interpersonal skills and become comfortable working under pressure and with high-profile individuals.
